The North Olympia Fire Department is teaming up with Home Land Security to give you another opportunity to get involved in your community!

The program is called Fire Corps. This program opens up our doors to people like you who have the desire to volunteer for the fire department but do not have the desire to run into burning buildings. Your fire department is run similar to a business.

There is lots of paperwork, building and grounds maintenance, and event planning/staffing work to do. If you have skills or time to give we would be happy to give you a role in our fire department.

Receptionist

Week days in the morning are when we need help with answering phone calls.

Administration Positions

Helping with personnel files, word processing, office organization, to list a few is of great assistance to the staff.

News Letter Manager

The fire department is trying to produce a newsletter for the community regarding local events, fire department activities, and anything else of interest to the community. We need someone to oversee and edit the newsletter and find some people to help write articles.

Maintenance

Assisting staff with mowing lawns, fire truck maintenance, buildings maintenance, and equipment maintenance.
